Learn all about digital photography through a combination of presentation, hands-on practice, feedback, and practice in digital editing.

This course is intended for people who regularly practice photography and want to spend more time enhancing, enjoying, and sharing their photos, or for people who are familiar with the basics of photography but would benefit from a refresher course to improve their skills and appreciation.

Topics will include: photo editing, using different software, shooting in challenging light conditions, being creative with manual settings, using a flash, submitting images to competitions, sharing on-line, copyright protecting your images, etiquette for shooting in public, understanding image resolution, printing and more.

Depending on the class level and interest, we can also look at more specific areas of photography (night photography, “stitching” many photos into one, making photo-essays, etc.)

The course will consist of eight 90-minute classes (held Tuesday and Thursday evening) plus an optional photo-walk (held on a weekend afternoons TBD, weather permitting).
