Hey Northwest photographers – only a few days left to submit your images to the Skeena Wild Film & Photo Festival.

Also check out that nifty header on their website, taken by yours truly(!) and submitted to the festival a few years back. A slightly hidden gem along the Skeena, this little cascade. I think of it every time I roll by on that beautiful drive.

The sunset shot above is one of my favourites because of the memories it brings: a gorgeous, day-long paddle & drift down the river, arms aching from dragging the kayaks across a never-ending sandbar, and a creeping suspicion that the tide might just change our camping plans on this little reedy island… almost.
