Another ‘Slice of Life’ from the Treehouse…

Cherry is one of the trees from the treehouse. Earlier this year we turned over the grass all underneath, laid some stones and planted some pretty flowers. And now… Cherry has been generously returning the favour with loads of delicious red snacks. So many that the sink runeth over (nearly) and the freezer must be opened with caution.

But it’s about more than jams and jellies, more than crisps and clafoutis. Every time I’ve passed under Cherry this last month, I smile. Up on the ladder today I couldn’t help but feel a weird kind of giddy glee, just marvelling at what happens under the right combination of time and rain and sun.

(But the clafoutis is very good, too!)
